SAP is accelerating its AI adoption across the board and is working on releasing multiple functionalities to boost its capabilities.
In this blog, we will read about two such Gen-AI features released recently for the SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Edition:
1) AI-Assisted Easy Filter
2) AI-Assisted Smart Summarization
1) AI-Assisted Easy Filter:
Whenever a user wants to use FIORI applications of the “Manage” apps such as “Manage Freight Order”, “Manage Sales Order”, “Manage Business Partner” apps, all the available documents for that app can be displayed.
Filtering for necessary information under such circumstances is a huge advantage as it helps us get the information faster, and easily.
Current filters in SAP require the user to manually select the filter parameters and set those as views.
When SAP’s AI-Assisted Easy filter is activated, the user can type in the filter criteria as a Natural Language Input as seen in the screenshot below, and SAP’s AI will process your input and automatically apply the filters.
Multiple filters can be input in the same sentence as shown below:
Instead of typing the whole sentence, you can save certain queries as your favorites, and it will appear to choose from your favorites as shown below:
1) User friendly way to extract information about any large set of documents
2) Simple English comment input across all SAP “manage” apps
3) Multiple filters can be input in the same sentence
4) Reusability of these filter criteria are easy, and commonly used sentences can be saved as favorites
AI-Assisted Smart Summarization:
This feature enables the user to create a summary of any documents they want.
The Generative-AI feature will automatically generate a summary of a document, based on the input parameters the user chooses.
For instance, assume that a user wants to create a summary of a particular Sales Order.
A Sales Order document has 5 different header and item level sections in it. Next, the user can click on the “Summarize” button, and choose which sections of the document should be selected to create the summary.
Please find 2 examples below to showcase this functionality:
Scenario 1: Select all sections of the Sales Order
Smart Summary created by SAP AI by selecting all sections of Sales Order:
Scenario 2: Select only 2 sections of the Sales Order to create summary based on only those 2 sections
Smart Summary created by SAP AI, by selecting only 2 sections of Sales Order
