SAP has released a Sneak Peek for SAP IBP What's New 2302. In this blog post, we will discuss the top 10 features we look forward to this year.
1. Job Cancellation in SAP Cloud Integration for Data Services (CI-DS)
Cancelation requests for data integration can now be sent from SAP IBP to SAP CI-DS with the condition that post-processing has not started on the CI-DS side.
2. Copying Scenarios into New Target Scenarios
The new Copy Version and Scenario Operator application job template enables the copying of scenarios from one planning version to another.
3. Integration for Telemetry Data
SAP IBP now has a new communication scenario for Planning – Telemetry Data Integration(SAP_COM_0924). In SAP, IBP telemetry data is generated when a user takes a relevant action in the system. This type of data is relevant as it helps answer questions such as: which features are the most popular, if a new feature has been adopted, or which specific features a particular user is accessing.
4. Window-Based Aggregation
This new function, Window-Based Aggregation (IBP_WBAGGR), allows performing cumulative aggregation on data grouped and sorted according to chosen attributes and not only across time periods.
5. Coverage Calculation at Request Level Available
The IBP_Coverage function can now be used at the request level.
6. Workbook Filter and Workbook Settings for Planning Views
Users can now use the new workbook filter to apply an attribute-based filter to all worksheets within a planning view. Additionality, a collapsible side panel will be introduced that includes all the settings applied to the entire workbook.
7. Microsoft Teams Integration in Process Management
Microsoft Teams can now be used as a collaboration tool for managing group tasks. This affects only process management apps; other apps used for collaboration will continue to use either SAP Jam or SAP Build Work Zone.
8. New Error Measure in Forecasting: SPEC
The stock-keeping-oriented prediction error costs (SPEC) error measure is now available in the Manage Forecast Models. SPEC is a suitable error measure for intermittent time series patterns because it considers the duration of the error instead of calculating it for individual periods.
9. Introducing Two-Step Deletion
Two-step deletion can be activated to prevent the accidental deletion of master data used for OB planning if dependent entries aren't marked for deletion. None of the other master data can be deleted.
10. Scenarios Supported for Lag-Based Snapshots
Users can now run Lag-Based Snapshots within a scenario.
