1. CI-DS Data Integration: Trimming Trailing SpacesThis is one of those small enhancements that makes a big difference as we encountered on several occasion trailing spaces that were hard to detect.To ensure data consistency, trailing spaces are now removed automatically from string-type attributes during improved master data processing, using SAP Cloud Integration for Data Services.
2. Model Configuration: Extension of Time Profile End DateSAP has extended the end date of the time profile to the end of the year 2035. However, when we start an implementation we usually push the end date to go far beyond 2050.
3. Add-in for Microsoft Excel: Enhancements for SAP IBP Formulas (Formerly Called Local Members)With this enhancement SAP is trying to make the IBP Local Members (IBP Formulas) more stable and easier to use.
4. Demand Planning: Automatic Outlier Correction of Intermittent DataThe automated outlier correction algorithm can now handle intermittent time series by detecting and correcting outliers in non-zero periods. Previously, the algorithm didn’t run on planning objects with zeros in more than 30% of the sales history, which meant that intermittent times series couldn't be considered.
5. Demand Planning: Correlation Analysis
SAP has introduced a new app called Manage Correlation Analysis Profiles.
Correlation Analysis is a statistical method that calculates the correlation coefficient between two variables to determine the strength of their relationship. A correlation coefficient of 1 or -1 indicates a strong relationship, while a value close to 0 signifies a weak relationship between the variables. Looking forward to see the app in action.
6. Cross Applications: Enhancements to Manage Planning Objects App
What stand out is the function to load from existing planning objects. Administrators of SAP IBP understand how annoying is sometime to create missing PLOBS, this option will make their life easier.
7. Cross Applications: Conversational Access to Information with Joule
SAP is enabling their new generative AI copilot. Users can now have conversational access to the product documentation for SAP Integrated Business Planning directly in the WEB Fiori Interface.
8. Advanced Analytics: New Application Job Template: Import Best Practice Analytics Stories
Administrators can use the application job based on this application job template to import sample analytics stories from SAP IBP Best Practices.
