SAP has released a Sneak Peek for SAP IBP What’s New 2305. In this blog, we will talk about the top ten features that we are looking forward to learning more about:
IBP System Administrators can now use Job Definitions app to simplify job scheduling for planners using Monitor Application Jobs and Planner Workspaces apps. This enhancement will allow to predefine jobs steps so that fewer fields are needed to be displayed or changed by planners.
With the use of the Telemetry Data app, administrators can view usage date generated in SAP IBP. Telemetry data can afterwards be segmented based on a time slot, user session, and application component of SAP IBP. The app will be useful for business as it will allow to understand users behavior. For example, which of the apps within IBP are used the most or the lesser.
Configuration experts can now perform request level calculations with the cumulative aggregation (IBP_ CAGGR) and the rolling aggregation (IBP_ RAGGR) functions. This is great news as it allows flexibility with various advanced business requirements.
New settings are available for attributes with data types NVARCHAR, DECIMAL, and INTEGER.
Uppercase Values Only setting for NVARCHAR attributes and Non-Negative Values Only setting for DECIMAL and INTEGER attributes to ensure a better control for Master Data Integration.
A new sample planning area, SAP9, has been added to support the maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) business process in SAP IBP. This is important as it signifies that MRO is starting to be seen as a key component within the technical landscape of SAP IBP.
Displaying When Master Data Entries Were Last Changed and by Whom in Master Data Workbooks
Users can now check the data and time when a specific master data entry was last changed, and the user who made the changes.
Significant enhancement are planned for Planner Workspaces app to provide business users more flexibility and efficiency when working with data.
Integration of purchase requisitions and subcontracting purchase requisitions for suppliers are now also defined for TS Supply Planning
With the introduction of the new order type subcontracting purchase requisition, order-based planning (OBP) supports a basic subcontracting process now: The purchasing organization provides components to the supplier of the end product - the subcontractor. Subcontracting purchase requisitions have components assigned. Important prerequisites are real-time integration (RTI) and some new, subcontracting-relevant attributes.
Supply Chain Network app supports SAP7F sample planning area for order-based planning (OBP). Supply Chain Network app is used to create network charts of the supply chain data.
